Emmet's first porfolio for the first quarter.

LANGUAGE ARTS
I can read 100 books this year: 8/100 read

I can read all the stories in the level 2 reader: he has read 4 of the stories.

I can write each week: has completed 10 pages of writing in workbook, plus 10 pages of drawings with notes in his nature journal

SOCIAL STUDIES
I can describe characters and their and demonstrate their lifestyle: we have read the first 10 chapters (demonstrating knowledge of Asian culture through cooking a Korean soup and second picture making potstickers from Japan)

I can attend cub scouts and earn badges by participation and cooperation skills: received 3 badges this month.

MATH
I can complete 30 pages of math journaling: he has completed 14 pages of math in his workbook

SCIENCE
I can successfully grow plants and record in my nature journal: we planted seeds in September and recorded what we planted where, and harvested this week lettuce and bok choi

I can go on hikes and nature journal: 30 pages: he has done 10 pages this year

ART
I can complete Story of the World projects: he has made diffuser paper scrolls and cooked several meals.

I can weave a small item: we have!

PE
I can: we just started at the YMCA and have been swimming twice, next week he starts swim lessons officially!

FOREIGN LANGUAGE
I can have a 5 minute conversation in Spanish by year end: we have had some practice conversations covering last years material and he has retained it.

I can complete Muzzy lessons: we watched the first 4 episodes of Muzzy in Spanish (doing Muzzy on the computer)

TECHNOLOGY
I can demonstrate basic coding in Wedo model: he has completed the first 5 lessons in Wedo
