JUNE!
Summer is here.....or almost. We have a solid week of rain and low temps here, but that means free water for the garden, so we are not complaining! Plus the one 80+ week had me already wishing for fall...I dont like it hot!!
We are so close to finished for the year the boys are giddy. Michael finished his writing book, Emmet finished his math book, and the opposites of those for both boys have enough pages they probably will continue them for a month before finishing.
We are right on track for All About Reading. We practiced OI and OY sounds, the third sound of A, and ED ending as well as reading two stories. The boys have improved SO much in theri reading this year. I am super impressed with how fast Emmet can read huge words, and how many words Michael has memorized (Emmet is a phonics learner and Michael a sight word reader, interesting to teach them together!). Avery has also learned many letter sounds he did not know before! He also lost his first tooth this week too!
We got out all the books for our final projects and started to read them last week. We will do an art project and write a report on our subject as well our last week of school.
The boys built garden window boxes for their bedrooms and we started creating garden space below as well. They planted berries and want to add flowers next.
Hope your June has brought some sunshine, and not too many allergies!
