ELA
Emmet has completed 19 pages in his Minecraft Writing Skills book. Emmet reads on a daily basis, and has surpassed his goal of 10 books.

I can figure out what words mean by using the strategies I know and by thinking about what I have read (i.e., using context clues, prefixes and suffixes, root words, and
dictionaries/glossaries).
I can figure out how words are related and how their meanings might be similar (i.e., distinguish the literal and nonliteral meaning of words and phrases, identify real-life
connections between words and their use, figure out the small differences in meaning with related words).

MATH
Emmet is on page 31 of his Minecraft book. Emmet plays math concept games on a weekly basis.

I can tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest 5 minutes using a.m. and p.m.
I can solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies using $ and ¢ correctly.
I can represent and interpret data on line plots, picture graphs and bar graphs.
Geometry
I can recognize and draw shapes according to given attributes (e.g., number of angles, number of faces).
I can identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
I can divide a rectangle into equal squares and find the total number.
I can divide circles and rectangles into equal pieces (2, 3, or 4), and describe the whole (e.g., two halves, three thirds, four fourths).
SCIENCE
Emmet completed the Steve Spangler box and Eureka crate monthly. Emmet plays science based board games weekly.
I can learn advanced skills in following instructions and building on engineering concepts by completing Eureka Crate boxes monthly
I can complete Steve Spangler Scicnce kits and learn about refraction, color science, electrical science
I can play science board games to learn concepts.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Emmet is two chapters away from finishing Story of the World Vol 3. Emmet reads living picture books weekly. Emmet plays history based concept board games weekly.
I can complete pages and activities from Big Life Journal to learn better emotional processing skills, to build on my empathy for others, and learn relationship management skills.
I can describe life in early modern times.
I can show competency of subject material through completion of projects, videos and pictures of myself demonstrating knowledge, and keeping a list of books that are read to me about topics.
ELECTIVES
Emmet attends co-op twice a week where he completes art projects and participates in outdoor games and sports. Emmet paints mini figs often.
I can complete art projects with my art supplies based on our social studies subjects.
I can refine and complete works of art.
I can demonstrate the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.
I can apply age-appropriate health concepts.
