Week 5 October 4-8th: Waterfalls and Camping in the Snow!

Michael's birthday fell upon this week and his one request was to go camping! Leading up to that fun adventure, we visited an urban hike with a small waterfall in Canby area. It was not a long walk, and we had driven quite a ways for it, so we ventured to a park second and played for several more hours. The boys journaled pictures of the water fall before we left. The second day of co-op the boys visited a different park with Super Nanny, and read this fun book. Avery apparently really, really enjoyed the book!

Paper airplanes happened! We have a new Usborne book for folding paper airplanes, and after make a few the boys went off on their own and made some really phenomenal airplanes from paper, tape, and TP tubes!

We did not get to history again this week, only a few more weeks until our veggie CSA is over and them we will have so much more time!

The boys all did math and writing four times this week, Avery did two of his reading lessons, and they all played multiple board games while camping this weekend. We played Listography, a fun Scatergories type game where you must make lists that either match one person, match as many people as possible, or match no one elses answers. We played two new games Point salad, a game of matching veggies and math, and Cover Your Kingdom, a fun strategy game where you try to recruit magical creatures to your kingdom without others stealing them.

Camping was super fun and we even got snowed on, which made the boys happy!!
