Week 21 February 7th-11th: Great Wolf Lodge!
We decided to take a trip to Great Wolf Lodge this week! We had two other families from co-op join us and it was a lot of good fun! We played many hours in the water park, and many hours doing their wand quest.
Farm updates! We have been cleaning up around the barns and making a big pile of scrap to burn. The boys are excited for this, they enjoy adding more things to the burn pile for us and watching what intense heat can do to things. Our chickens have moved onto pasture! They are SO happy to not be in their muddy chicken run anymore, and we are enjoying watching them thrive. Our coop is mobile, so we must move it onto new grass every day, and move the entire fence and operation every 3-4 days. The boys help disconnect the solar powered electric battery, then take up, move, and replace the fence. They are getting very good at it. 150 chickens take 1.5 five gallon buckets of food a day, 14 gallons of water, and lay about 20 dozen eggs a week (in the winter, we estimate 60 dozen eggs a week in the summer and double the amount of water!!)
We enjoyed a lovely sunny picnic lunch at a really fun park in Vancouver this week.
Emmet picked up a felting project. He is struggling with it so I am hoping to find some videos on how to felt, as I have never done it before.
This week we played Cribbage, Pokemon Cards, Tokyo Highway, Carcassonne, The Farming Game, and a United States matching game.
Enjoy the sunny weekend!
