Week 29 April 11th-15th: Surprise, Snow!!

What a week! We started off Monday with 4" of snow over night! LOTS of garden work to get baby plants covered and ready to take on that much freezing. It happens sometimes, but my FB memories say it hasn't snowed in April since 2009!

This week we studied about astronomers! We made small telescopes to use for viewing stars and watched a youtube video about being an astronomer.

On Tuesday our co-op day was a birthday day for one of our members and he chose to learn about dragons. We went on a dragon scavenger hunt, read a book about a myth about a dragon in Yachats, Oregon, and played in the rain!
Avery's telescope.
Michael working on his cursive!
Avery finished up one math book and is working his way through the math sheets that are in his writing book.
We read about Maria Mitchell also as part of our astronomer study.
Avery is LOVING soccer! He is asking to take a soccer summer camp this year too.
SNOW FUN! We made one last trip up to Mt Hood on Thursday with co-op to sled and play. The kids made some cool snow caves too.
Our paper on astronomers.

We also read a chapter in Story of the World, played Zombie Fluxx, Labyrinth, and Citadels this week.

The Dillmans.
