Indefinate Spring Break
Despite the chaos, the unknown, and the crazy, life is moving forward as always, and I am attempting to keep up. Even tho our charter school takes off holidays and has a spring break, we school on through, most of the time. It is easier. When we take long breaks it takes a while to get back into the rythm again.
So, the last two weeks of March were business as usual! We did some physics one rainy day, bringing our hammock inside and the boys tried to find ways to hang it to support themselves. Eventually they took it downstairs and hung it between our exercise equipment and it worked quite well! We also made a fun video about germs for science!

They decided to paint their desks one day, which was quite a bit of fun! It was a good art project. We also have been sewing and enjoying the Mo Willems drawing videos as well as online drawing tutorials (pokemon last week!)
Of course we have continued our regular lessons, Story of the World we studied about English Kings and then Spanish monarchs during the renaissance. They all have been doing two pages a week in their writing books, and once a week the older two have free writing. They have been making a list of things to do each week.
All three boys have kept up with all about reading, the older two all about spelling, as well as reading books.
We have done our math books twice a week, played Prodigy once a week, and lots and lots of boardgames!
For Spanish we continue to read our early readers, do pages from our workbook, and read from our dual-language Scholastic magazines! Emmet wants to learn Chinese now instead, so I was going to set Duolingo up for him to try it out.
For our Biome study we took a look at differences in deciduous and evergreen trees. The boys journaled examples and I was thankful for our large home library, which had adequate information!
Gardening, cows, house chores, and Minecraft eat up the rest of the time, so we are staying pretty occupied! We had a second calf born the end of Spring Break. We have named him Tarbh (pronounced taw-riv) , which means bull in Gaelic
We hope you are staying busy and calm!
